Splash vs Single Target Defenses in Tower Rush

When constructing a perfectly balanced deck, choosing the correct defensive building is one of the most consequential decisions you will make.

Making the wrong choice will leave a glaring weakness in your roster that experienced opponents will ruthlessly exploit.
The Single-Target Tank Killers
Single-target defenses, such as the Inferno Tower or the Cannon, are designed specifically to deal with massive, high-hitpoint threats.

A single-target tower will waste its massive damage output slowly killing one skeleton at a time, allowing the main enemy tank to slip by completely unharmed.
It provides great value against fast units like the Hog Rider.Wait until the enemy tank crosses the river. If they use a lightning spell to destroy your tower, you must immediately drop a backup melee unit. Area of Effect Buildings
These structures are your absolute best defense against ‘bait’ decks that rely on overwhelming you with endless waves of goblins and skeletons.

The trade-off is that these buildings possess incredibly low single-target Damage Per Second (DPS).

If you already run three area-of-effect spells, you probably do not need a splash damage building; take a single-target killer instead.

Do not be afraid to switch your defensive building if you notice a sudden shift in the daily ladder meta.
